Thandy shared that it was sad for many children to grow up without their fathers.

Taking to social media, she posted a video talking about how grateful she felt over the good bond created with her on-set dad.

She said she felt honoured to be part of the educational show, and urged people to watch it so they could learn more about creating bonds with their loved ones.

It is estimated that 2,13 million children in South Africa are fatherless, and 9 million grow up without fathers – a tremendous fatherhood challenge for the country,” she wrote.
