BABY Cele is dumping Uzalo again.
The actress, who plays the role of Gabisile, left the show in 2020 and returned in 2021. Now she has resigned again.
The announcement was made on the show’s social media pages, where she said she didn’t resign for bad reasons.
“I resigned, not for negative reasons, but it was time. I joined the show in October 2017 and since then I have portrayed the character of Gabisile, and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, as an actress/actor you cannot play one role for too long, so I decided it was time to spread my wings.
“I enjoyed my time on the show, and I am glad I was on it until season 10,” she said.
The actress said she enjoyed playing the role of Gabisile, but she had to move on.
"Gabisile has been a part of me for so many years. It's time for me to leave her behind. But I will never give up my love for Uzalo.

“I played Gabisile for so many years, she became part of my life, so it feels like I have lost a part of me. Uzalo was and will forever be my home, I was loved in the production, I had family, I was respected, and we worked well together," he said.
She also thanked her fans and the people she worked with.
“The love from the cast, the production and the fans was so beautiful. The decision was not easy for me. Ngiyabonga to everyone who has supported my career for the past 38 years, my heart is so full,” Baby said.
The production company, Stained Glass Production, thanked Baby for her time with Uzalo.
“Thank you Baby Cele MaNdosi for sharing your incredible gift with us. It has been an honour to have you as part of the team. Your work ethic, professionalism and warmth set you apart.
“We know you will soar, and your light will shine even brighter. Onward and upward, Sis Bee. We love you,” they said.
