GENDER-BASED violence (GBV) activist and MC Sihle Sibisi is not dead.
A photo announcing her death and memorial service details has been circulating on social media, but Sihle has told Daily Sun that this is just a smear campaign against her.
She is the founder of Kwanele Foundation, a non-profit organisation that fights against GBV and supports victims. She is also known as one of the regular guests on a TV show that exposed pastors last year, called AmaBishop.

Sihle said she was not able to share details of what was happening, but all would be revealed soon.
“I am not dead; I am alive. This is all part of a smear campaign against me. I will be going live on my Facebook tonight to explain everything. I cannot reveal anything right now, but this is one big, ugly smear campaign,” she said.
After seeing the circulating poster, social media users were left convinced that she had created it herself because she was running away.
This as in the past weeks, Sihle has allegedly been involved in a number of scams, one of them being scamming hotels. An intruder alert was then issued by a hotel, showing a photo of her, written: “Beware of guest. Do not allow her to stay at hotel.”
The alert claimed that she had checked in with a false proof of payment and then fled.
Commenting on that, Sihle said: “That is also a lie. It’s all part of the smear campaign against me.”

Another alleged scam that her name was associated with was one of her pretending to be a member of the Zulu royal family and extorting money from people who wanted to meet King Misuzulu kaZwelithini.
“The story about me pretending to be part of the royal family is all lies. I still expect an apology from the person who wrote that,” she added.
