ABDUL Khoza loves playing Nqobizitha Zulu.
The actor’s won many hearts with his role in the popular Showmax series The Wife.
The 34-year-old from KwaMashu, KZN, has proven himself as one of those actors who’s managed to find a spot in the entertainment industry and own it.
On Saturday, 9 July, he said on Instagram how he enjoyed playing Nqobizitha. Abdul said this was one of the characters he held dearly, as it taught him a lot about life. The actor has also walked away with Favourite Actor at the DSTV Mzansi Viewers Choice Awards last month for the role.
He wrote: “Once upon a time #NqobizithaZulu was born into life. There are many roles one gets to play in an actor’s lifespan. But not all can be memorable or received in the hearts of the people. For me taking this role I had no idea just how much I would fall in love and enjoy each and every step of our journey together.”
Abdul said he learnt a lot and also understood the greater purpose of life through the character.
He said he wanted to thank everyone who showed him love and support, including the production team.
“Though we will always continue to have many faces in this life, for this one, I am truly humbled and grateful to you all. May we forever keep entertained from every corner we rise from.”
