At around lunch time a day after the National elections in South Africa, the ANC is powering ahead.

With 39.12% of vote counting completed, the ANC leads with 56.16% of the votes.

The Democratic Alliance follows at 24.35%, with the EFF coming in third at 9.05%.

While the hotly contested Gauteng is gearing up for a nail-biting finale.

At lunch time and 28.55% votes completed, the ANC leads with just 50.22% of the votes the DA follows at 27.8% and the EFF with 13.99%.

The voter turnout hasn’t been confirmed by the IEC, especially in Gauteng.

Only 810 out of 2771 voting districts haven been counted.
