SINGER Busiswa Gqulu’s home studio in Midrand was broken into on Sunday, 15 August.

A Black HP i7 computer tower, Silver iMac PC, two black BTX monitors and two blue JBL portable speakers were stolen.

The Midnight Starring hitmaker has offered a R40 000 reward to anyone who has information that could lead to the recovery of the goods. “Some of the stolen things can be replaced, but the greatest loss is over 500 songs and visual content on the computer tower and iMac PC.”

Busiswa said her decade’s worth of work was stolen.

“That work is important to my career and the legacy of my children. I need those items and my work back,” she said.

She pleaded with anyone that might have information to help. “Even if someone wants to remain anonymous it is fine, as long as the information can lead to the safe recovery of my belongings and work.”

Busiswa’s fans sympathised with her on social media.

  • @Maria_Sangoo wrote: “I hope you get everything back, you really put so much into your work and for it to disappear in one night is not right.”
  • @Msizi12890 wrote: “Visit secondhand shops in Jozi CBD or Midrand, you will get them.”

Gauteng cop spokesman Captain Kay Makhubela said the business premises that belong to a female artist was broken into and property including musical recording items and other electronics were stolen.

“It has been discovered there was no forced entry and the complainant mentioned she didn’t lock the inside door.”
