
UP-AND-COMING gospel artist Khutso M’s songs have been described as healing, aspiring and motivating.
Originally from Acornhoek near Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga, Khutso M’s real name Khutso Mangane.
The 41-year-old released her single I Gama Lika Jesu last January followed by her second track in September.
She then recorded and released her hit album titled Lesele Lodwa under her independent record company l Katekani Production, which is a 100% female-based label.
She started singing in Sunday school in the early ’90s, and later joined as a praise and worship singer at her church.
“Part of my purpose is to minister God’s word using this wonderful gift the Lord gave me. I’ve been travelling to provinces, ministering at different churches.

“I worked with artists such as Ndivhuwo Matumba, Lucas Maloma and Ian Calf,” she said.
Khutso M said she’s grateful to her mum who always encouraged her to follow her dreams.
Besides music, Khutso M is a health care official employed at the Mpumalanga health department.
She said unknown artists should always aim for the stars, and her music label is there to assist local singers.
“Up-and-coming artists don’t have to endure the hardship of travelling to Joburg for a record deal. My main target is women in the music industry who have been oppressed in the male- dominate industry. I want to help them to grow.”
Her music is available on digital platforms in Sepedi, Setswana, Zulu and Xitsonga.
