Mzansi’s biggest music group MTN Joyous Celebration wants to close off the year by entertaining fans online, on TV and through live shows.

And just like last year, fans will enjoy the return of MTN Joyous Celebration Restoration-Imvuselelo.

The show will be held at the Big Top Arena at Carnival City on 18 December.

One of the founders, Pastor Jabu Hlongwane said they were happy to be able to continue entertaining their fans despite Covid-19.

“Without running away from the effects of Covid-19 on the creative and entertainment sectors. It is important to acknowledge that we could have never been ready for what we experienced in the past 19 months. It has been a difficult experience and journey,” said Hlongwane.

According to the group, the show will be filled with colour, life and pure joy.

It said a live audience of 750 people would be allowed to attend the show, that would also be streamed live on the group’s social media pages.

Another founder, Dr Lindelani Mkhize said the group celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, but couldn’t go big with the celebrations.

“But, we are happy that we were able to offer fans our 25th album titled Joyous Celebration 25. It reached platinum in a short time because it was positively received.”

He further said the event was aimed at bringing hope and celebrating victory through music.

“We staged our first restoration in Durban last year. We are excited to host another show. We are grateful to God, who has seen us through all difficult periods.”

MTN brand and communications general manager Nomsa Mazibuko said the award-winning group was bringing fans closer to their passion.

Joyous TV will also show MTN Joyous Celebration Super Sundays on 28 November and 26 December.

Tickets for the MTN Joyous Celebration Restoration-Imvuselelo are available at Webtickets and Pick n Pay for R250.
