Audi brings digital innovation to drivers

accreditation

MODERN technology is fast being introduced in cars.

On Monday, 4 July, Audi South Africa announced that it has made available a new Audi connect plug and play device.

The device will allow motorists to use the Audi plug and play app on their smartphones and connect their vehicles through Bluetooth.

In a statement, the automotive manufacturer said the innovation was available to all Audi owners whose vehicles have a model year introduction from 2008 onwards.

Hassan Salie, head of aftersales and dealer development at Audi South Africa, said this new innovation was part of accommodating customers who keep their vehicles for a longer period and were not supported by the latest tech.

“The Audi connect plug and play device is part of our ongoing commitment to help bring digital innovation to all our customers, through the driving experience,” Salie said.

Audi South Africa said the hardware comes with diverse feature and benefits for older cars. The features include an overview of the most important data about the vehicle, such as mileage and fuel.

It also comes with benefits including the evaluation of one’s driving style.

The most fascinating part is that the device automatically connects the vehicle to one’s desired dealership.

As if that’s not enough, the installation of the hardware is free of charge and customers are urged to contact their selected Audi dealership for a booking to check if their vehicles meet the requirements.
