APPLE users are filled with excitement as the company unveils new low-cost products.
The unveiling of the new products took place on Tuesday, 8 March, at a virtual event called Peek Performance.
Apple has introduced low-end versions of the iPhone SE and iPad Air tablet.
The new version of the iPhone SE comes with the latest mobile processor and 5G.
This device boasts advanced features with a price that starts at $429 (at about R6 500).
The first SE was introduced in 2016 and the newest one has been given a touch experience similar to iPhone 13 devices.
According to Tech Central, iPhone SE:
- Will continue with a similar look to the iPhone 8.
- It still has a home button with Touch ID rather than Face ID, which is used by higher-end products.
- It is also the smallest iPhone on the market with a 4,7-inch screen.
Apple has also introduced a new iPad Air tablet, which boasts new internal upgrades.
It has a 12MP front-facing camera, 8-core M1 chip and comes with 5G on cellular-equipped models.
iPad Air will be available starting at $599 (at about R9 000).
The virtual event also saw the unveiling of a new desktop Mac and an external monitor.
As reported by Tech It Out last week, Apple is expected to roll out the new IOS 15.4 update, which will allow iPhone users with higher-end models to use Face ID while wearing their masks.
