IT MAY have been in the works for some time now, but Chomee has allegedly finally dumped Arthur “King of Kwaito” Mafokane.
When asked about leaving his 999 Music record label, a vague Chomee (real name Thulisile Madihlaba) said: “I really need to learn to start doing certain things on my own.
“I’ve gained so much experience in showbiz, especially because I got into this industry as a kid. I don’t want to say a lot, but watch this space.”
But an insider insisted the vibrant artist had put Arthur in her past, saying much of her decision was influenced by the drama unfolding with ex-stablemate Cici (real name Busisiwe Twala).
The King of Kwaito and Cici, once rumoured to have also replaced Chomee as Arthur’s love interest, have reportedly been frequenting the courts lately.
They have reportedly opened assault cases against each other.
But the second source was adamant Chomee left because she couldn’t handle another “sexy, young thang” entering the picture after allegedly being replaced by Cici.
This as Arthur is said to have recently signed a new female artist in Idols SA season six top-three finalist, Sindi Nene.
When contacted this week, Arthur said: “I hate making comments about such issues. I’m not well at the moment and am seeking professional help.”
His manager Brian Mokoena confirmed Chomee’s departure, saying: “Losing Chomee’s puts us on a back foot. But she’s been badly influenced, and the sooner she realises this the better.
When asked for her account, Sindi said: “I don’t want politics. I’m a singer.”
