A couple of days ago the VW Golf GTI TCR was testing at the Nürburgring and it promises to be a beast.
There were recent reports that the engineers at VW wanted the new Golf 8 R to be a rocket pocket and employ its cousin’s five-cylinder engine.
It’s reported that when VW asked Audi if they could use the 2.5-litre TFSI engine, the officials at Audi declined.
By the look of things, Audi wanted to keep the beast for themselves and it sounds heavenly.
The new Audi RS3 was spotted testing, or should I say bullying other children at the Nürburgring.
The RS3 used to hold the fasted hatch crown until the Mercedes-Benz A45 S decided to dethrone it, but the guys from Ingolstadt have their way – the hot hatch will reclaim its top spot.
