A R1,6 MILLION C8 Chevrolet Corvette has been destroyed after crashing during a chase with cops
in Detroit, US on Wednesday, 15 July.
It happened after cops were alerted to the theft of a 2021 Corvette from a dealership in Novi.
According to Carscoops, cops began to chase the Corvette at about 10.30am after seeing it near an intersection.
Not long after, the thieves sideswiped a van, crashing into several parked vehicles.
Dashcam footage from one of the cop cars shows a big section of the passenger side front end of the car has been absolutely destroyed.
Parts and fluids from the sports car can also be seen scattered across the road.
Both the C8’s driver and passenger immediately fled after the crash.
A video from one of the police cruisers that responded to the scene shows the cop speeding after one of the men, driving through the grass of a nearby complex.
