A MAN, who was going about his day, was nearly caught in the crossfire between a fire truck and an SUV.

A fire truck was speeding to the scene of a fire crashed into a gas station after being T-boned by an SUV.

CCTV footage from the scene shows the fire truck speeding toward the traffic lights with its lights flashing and its sirens blaring.

The driver of the black Lincoln Navigator SUV failed to yield to the truck and rammed into its side.

The force of impact sent the SUV into a lamp post on the corner of the intersection while the fire truck was sent directly into the side of a van filling up at the petrol station.

According to Carscoops, the van spun around the pump and triggered a fire which fortunately, didn’t last long.

A witness claimed the Navigator SUV had a green light when it collided with the fire truck.
