Volkswagen South Africa is going big with the local launch of their smallest SUV, the T-Cross
The T-Cross which is based on the Polo, VW SA's most popular model is bound to be a big seller in Mzansi too and VW SA is building the T-Cross City, the 'ultimate urban playground for its launch.
Happening at Montecasino's outdoor area on 21-22 September. T-Cross City will feature a film set with scaffold and facades, housing experiences such as a raised rooftop party structure and an intimate, opulent jazz club and pop-up areas which will be curated by top names in the industry.
Fans will get a choice of experiences that best represents their idea of fun city living including stand-up comedy with Goliath & Goliath with Parker’s, the Marabi Club will provide a jazz experience, football fans will have Fives Futbol will host a tournament, foodies Lesego Semenya (AKA LesDaChef) will curate the food market and music fans will have a DJ Kent’s bringing The WEEKENT and Friends Rooftop Party.
All these experience require fans to visit the T-Cross City online, to get enough audience interaction on the microsite, this will open up the real-life experiences week-by-week until everything is built as an actual, real-life city for fans to explore and enjoy for free on 21 and 22 September.
Martina Biene, General Manager of the Volkswagen Brand said that this is their biggest launch of the year.
“We’re putting everything behind this ground-breaking event to ensure that not only as many people get to test drive the new T-Cross over the weekend as possible, but that we reinforce its positioning as a car that lets you play by your own rules.
