Hyundai SUVs are a hit in South Africa and the latest Tucson has arrived to prove that.
The Tucson is a top contender in its market and since its launch in 2016, 13 591 units have been sold in South Africa.
In its latest guise the Tucson has a new front with the Hyundai signature cascading grille and new headlight, fog light, front bumper and skid plate.
At the rear, the Tucson has a new rear tail light, bumper and exhaust tailpipe design.
There are new alloy wheel designs and colour options too.
The Tucson’s fresh interior has a redesigned dashboard with a seven-inch display for its infotainment system which offers features such as Apple’s CarPlay.
The Hyundai can be bought with either a seven-speed dual-clutch or a eight-speed automatic gearbox that are fitted to a naturally aspirated 2,0-litre petrol engine, a turbocharged 1,6-litre petrol engine or a 2,0-litre turbocharged diesel. All of them are front-wheel drives.
There are three trim levels but even the entry-level Premium comes with cruise control, LED daytime running lights with driver, passenger, side and curtain airbags. The Executive adds leather seats and climate control. The Elite version also adds a sun roof, keyless entry, blind spot detection, cross traffic alert and more.
The Tucson comes with a five-year/90 000km service plan and seven-year/200 000km warranty.
