The Mahindra XUV500 is back in two new versions.

Mahindra’s updated XUV500 sports utility is here with two new versions.

Design changes include the new grille, redesigned headlights and daytime running lights.

There is new chrome detailing and a new tailgate at the rear as well as fresh tail lights and a larger roof-mounted rear spoiler.

Under the bonnet is Mahindra’s 2,2-litre turbodiesel engine.

Kicking off the range is the W4 which comes with all the necessary comfort features. The W6, W8 and W10 models come with extra features such as alloy wheels, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers and automatic headlights. W8 and W10 models also have a high-tech seven-inch full colour infotainment system with reverse camera. The range-topping W10 boasts an electrically-adjustable driver’s seat, a sunroof and a start-stop button.

For safety, ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution is standard across the range. W4 and W6 get two airbags each while W8 and W10 get six airbags each.

A five-year/150 000km warranty and five-year/100 000km service plan is standard for each.
