MAHINDRA celebrated the surge in vehicle sales following its new marketing campaign by launching the new S10 Karoo edition.
The newcomer comes hot on the heels of the special S6 Karoo, which was launched in December and sold out in a flash.
With more features than the standard S10, the Indian carmaker is confident that its newest special edition model will to be a sales hit too.
Mahindra got the name for the Karoo edition from the humorous brand campaign’s TV ad in which an intrepid adventurer moves heaven and earth to find a lost lamb.
The S10 Pik Up is already full of features such as satellite navigation, cruise control and multifunction controls built in the steering wheel.
The Karoo S10 limited edition also gets a special black cosmetic package, which includes blacked out off-road alloy wheels, a dark nudge bar and a dark branded roll bar.
Mahindra also added a tonneau cover, flared rear wheel arches that complement the front arches and a wind deflector kit on both the front and rear windows. The special edition is available in either white or silver.
According to Mahindra, one of the most appealing features of the S10 Karoo is its price – it is just R5 000 more than the standard S10 model.
The Karoo edition will be available in limited numbers and the Indian carmaker is confident that it will sell like hot cakes.
Even with the additional features , the S10 Pik Up Karoo edition is one of the most affordable quality double-cab bakkies on the market. And, with Mahindra’s South African plant now fully operational, the carmaker is confident that the Pik Up will become a popular choice among bakkie buyers looking for value for money.
The 4x2 double-cab Pik Up Karoo edition retails for R337 999, while the 4x4 version has a price tag of R368 999.
Both versions of the Karoo edition are sold with Mahindra’s four-year/120 000km warranty and a five-year/90 000km service plan.
