THE MZANSI SUV market is in for a grand treat.
The introduction of the Opel Grandland X shows how exciting it is for sport utility vehicle lovers.
And even its name stands for adventure, independence and abundance!
Opel said this SUV combines sporty character and a spirit of adventure.
With its modern dynamic lines, a cool off-road look and elevated seating that grants good all-round visibility, this is an attractive SUV.
Besides good looks, the SUV boasts top- notch technology on board and plenty of space for up to five adventurous passengers, luggage and sport equipment.
Ideally equipped and well positioned with good brand recognition, the Grandland X is coming to SA as the third member of the Opel X family – joining its Opel Crossland X and Opel Mokka X siblings.
The Grandland X’s athletic look is complemented by an optional two-colour finish and range of the latest driver assist and comfort features.
The Grandland X comes with advanced park assist and a 360° camera, special ergonomic seats by AGR (or Campaign for Healthier Backs), heated steering wheel and heated front and rear seat.
The tailgate opens with a foot movement to make sure it can be used easily.
Its side views show an attractive combination of rugged SUV charm with elegant lines. Its muscular, sculpted wheel arches and protective cladding on the lower body give the Grandland X a real off-road appeal.
“The new Grandland X is an SUV with an exceptional presence and a bold design that looks compact, sporty and muscular. We have also refined our Opel design to create an SUV which blends sportiness and elegance to make it an absolute eye-catcher in its segment,” said Opel’s vice president of design, Mark Adams.
The Grandland X comes with a 1,6-litre turbopetrol engine that’s fitted to a six-speed automatic gearbox.
It will be available in three different trim levels.
