THOSE who have been saving throughout the year for the holidays are wondering whether to take a break or not.
Well, we did take a shot’left to #GoLimpopo, #TravelWithIsuzu for a weekend and it can be done.
Yes, you can travel as long as you’re going to observe level one lockdown regulations.
The trip kicked off with a brief about the capabilities of the cars to be used: the D-MAX X-Rider and the comfortable MUX, supplied by Fury Isuzu in Woodmead.
Dealer principal at Fury Isuzu Woodmead, Robert Nunes, said they were seeing more D-MAX bakkies leaving the showroom floor as people believe in the strength of these machines and same power of the MUXs.
One farmer, Max Mhlambi, said: “Isuzu bakkies have been a friend of ours for a while because they’re true workhorses, unlike other bakkies that are just beautiful and can’t do the work,” he said.
Max said Isuzu bakkies aren’t only powerful and reliable, but also last.
SunWheels drove to Limpopo in an MUX, an SUV that also proved to follow in the steps of its sibling bakkies.
It’s comfortable, strong and capable.
The rains accompanied us from Joburg to Thabazimbi, where we made our first stop at Marakele National Park.
There, we saw four of the Big Five – buffalo, elephant, rhino and the leopard.
Some of us slept at Tlop Camp tents and others at the Marakele Animal Sanctuary. What a peaceful and relaxing night!
The rain was still with us when we drove to the place that is fast becoming the best holiday destination, called ATKV Klein Kariba Resort in Bela Bela. The place not only has good self-catering facilities, but also serves good food and entertainment is the order of the day.
Driving in the rain is a problem for some, but the comfort that comes with being in the MUX and the super D-MAX takes that fear away.
