VOLKSWAGEN has again won the Top 12 Best Buys awards.

The most-loved brand walked away with three awards, the only manufacturer to win so many at the ceremony.

Now in its 21st year, the Car Magazine Top 12 Best Buys Awards recognised the brand that has solidified its position in the Mzansi car market.

Volkswagen won three awards at the ceremony that took place in Jozi last week.

The distinguished annual Top 12 Best Buys awards have become a definitive guide to the very best cars in the country.

Only the cars driven by the majority of the CAR magazine editorial team are eligible for the awards.

Factors like findings of road tests, driving impressions, performance and price are taken into consideration.

Volkswagen South Africa was the most awarded manufacturer at this year’s awards.

Polo Vivo won the Small Car category, a back-to-back win for the locally-manufactured best-selling passenger car.

Volkswagen was the most awarded manufacturer at Top 12 Best Buys Awards.

The T-Cross recorded its first success at the awards by winning the Small SUV/Crossover category.

Rounding off Volkswagen’s awards on the night was the Tiguan, which won the Midsize SUV/Crossover category, for the fourth time in a row.
