GAUTENG cops arrested a speedster on the R21 South in Kempton Park on Saturday, 1 May.
The speedster was caught driving a Toyota Supra at 195km/h in a 120km/h zone.
He was detained at Olifantsfontein Police Station.
Meanwhile, Okae Molao operations were conducted in Tshwane over the weekend, with more than 250 people arrested.
Roadblocks were conducted on the R80 Mabopane highway, a spot where a number of robberies were reported recently.
The roadblocks resulted in the arrest and recovery of three reportedly hijacked and stolen cars.
Two more people were arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol.
“Suspected stolen property was recovered at a place reported to be harbouring criminals in Akasia,” said police spokesman Captain Mavela Masondo.
“As police were approaching the property, suspects ran into the bushes, leaving behind suspected stolen goods.”
Masondo said while raiding the drug dens and conducting stop- and search operations, police arrested 13 suspects for dealing and being in possession of drugs.
