THE driver of the allegedly rented Lamborghini Huracan survived the crash, but the insurance company sure is going to be mad.
The driver of the grey Lamborghini reportedly lost control of the supercar while driving on Victoria Road in Hout Bay, Cape Town and crashed into a tree.
A Lamborghini Huracan LP640-4 Performante Spyder costs in the region of R6 million, and it’s powered by a 5.2 litre V10 engine that produces 470 kW.
When pictures of the crashed Huracan hit social media, people didn’t seem to show sympathy.
Janet Niedermayr said: “No sympathy from me. I live close by and this person thinks the rules of the road don’t apply to him.”
Mwanawasofiegumbo Nomusa Makhue said: “These cars they buy will kill them.”
Sadheera Singh said: “He got a bit carried away with his machine. . . now it’s more like scrap metal.”
