As it has become custom,
pictures of the upcoming BMW X6 have hit the internet.
The new X6 is expected to be officially released today, but the leaks have again beat BMW to it.

And out in the front, we
find BMW's new huge grille but here it is widened using the 8-Series coupe
design cues.
It seems like this is how BMW will be distinguishing their coupes going forward. The sedan and normal body styles will get the more squarish grille design, whereas the coupes will get a wider grille with that diamond-like shape to it.
Oh, and the grille is becoming a complex unit, not only is it going to have opening and closing slats but now it is illuminated.
Replacing it is about to become more expensive.
We also find the sleeker, slimmer headlights with blue accents to signify that this bad boy will have BMW laser light technology.
The leaked X6 is an M-Competition model, the M50i. It gets a sportier design like the aggressive bigger intakes on the front lower bumper.

The rear end of the car and
the side profile look more like facelift versions of the outgoing cars. A new
crease there and some new 8-series like rear lights and there's not much new.
Overall the car's proportions seem to still be good, unlike on the new X4 where it only good at certain angles. The X6 looks proper bold at any angle we get it now.
There are no images of the interior but expect it to be the same as the X5 which is brilliant.
A nice mixture of the physical dials and touchscreens. Not a bombardment of touchscreens and their fingerprint magnet annoyances we see in other cars.
There will be light. Stay tuned.

The engine line-up is also
expected to remain the same as in the X5. In South Africa, that's the option of
either the base X5 xDrive30d with 195kW and 620Nm of torque and the quad-turbo
X5 M50d with 294kW and a whopping 740Nm of torque.
Again, this leaks comes way ahead of the official announcement so still no word on when to expect the new X6.
