NISSAN has announced sales figures for the all-new Navara, that launched in Mzansi in July.
Over the past four months, the bakkie’s sales have exceeded those for the previous full year.
This has positioned the Navara as one of the best-selling 2021 bakkies in the 1ton pickup category.
According to Nissan, the success of the new Navara is mainly owed to its value proposition and the fact that is it produced locally.
“We have been tracking a positive and organic, month-to-month growth since the launch. Currently, Nissan has a market share of 13,4%, which positions us right up to our target,” said Charl Timms, sales and operations director at Nissan South Africa.
The Navara is renowned for its rugged redefined looks, robust capabilities, reliability and versatility, making it one of the most respected models across the Nissan line-up.
It comes with enhanced ride comfort, load-carrying capacity and a power train selected specifically for the South African market.
Nissan is projecting a steady growth in sales for the Navara range for the next six months, which has the potential to significantly grow once its plans are in production at full capacity.
