KIA has received two prestigious design awards for its latest models, the Kia EV6 electric crossover and fourth-generation Kia Carnival MPV.
In the annual Good Design Awards, Kia took first place in the Transportation category.
The all-new EV6 is Kia’s first dedicated battery electric vehicle, as well as the first built on the new Electric Global Modular Platform, with a 528km real-world driving range and ultra-fast charging capabilities.
The EV6’s styling uses Kia’s new design philosophy, “Opposites United”, inspired by contrasts in nature and humanity.
The all-new Kia Carnival MPV has a bold and boxy look from the successful line-up of rugged SUVs, including the Telluride, Sorento and Seltos.
Dramatic lines on the bonnet build aggressive character, while the wheel arches provide volume to the side profile.
The three-row interior offers premium and flexible layout, resulting in best-in-class passenger and cargo room.
The two awards are the latest in a string of design awards handed to Kia by the Good Design jury.
First held in 1950, Good Design is one of the oldest design competitions in the world, organised by Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
