Supers are expensive and as far as supercars go, the ones with a prancing horse on the bonnet are some of the most coveted.

So, you just won some money from the races or your favourite sports betting spot, but you don't want to blow it all away buying the new Ferrari 488, what options are there?

If you really want a Ferrari, you can buy a used one. We checked out cars.co.za to check out the cheapest Raris on the site.

The cheapest Ferrari you can buy is a 2001 Ferrari 360 Modena Spider, retailing at R 1 399 995.

In its 18 years on this green earth, the car has done only 37 000km. And it comes with a manual, something you don't find in modern Ferraris.

For R100k more there's a 29-year-old Ferrari 348 Spider with 46 000km on the clock. Meaning it was doing 1586km every year. It is also a manual.

But these are old cars. If you are looking for something modern then you'd have to go for the "hairdresser's Ferrari" the California. There's one for R1.5-million and it is 2011 model, so relatively new. It's got a manual transmission and 59 000km on the clock. It's also some modern features like Park distance control, Climate control, Xenon lights, Cruise control, Aircon, ABS and Sat nav.

If you really won the big bucks though, the most expensive used Ferrari on the site is a 2015 Ferrari 458 Italia at R10-million and just 1000 km on the clock.
