Renault is expanding its SUV range with the introduction of the new Koleos
The second-generation Koleos shares its root design with the Nissan X-Trail and it slots in as Renault’s range-topping SUV.
Only two trim levels will be available at the launch: the Expression and the Dynamique, which is offered with a 4x2 or 4x4 drive.
While pricing is competitive, Renault offers a generous range of features to match its slick design. The Koleos comes with a posh chrome trim and alloy wheel designs, so it is sure to make the market a bit tougher for the Kia Sportage, Mazda CX-5, Hyundai Tucson, VW Tiguan and other rivals.
The front and rear lights show off Renault’s new stylish signature design.
It is a big vehicle too – at nearly 4,7 metres long. The French carmaker claimed its Koleos offers class-leading space for rear passengers while the boot is a generous 464 litres, which increases to 1 795 litres.
The upmarket interior is dominated by a large touchscreen display with the latest multimedia functions to improve any driving experience.
Drivers can rest assured that the new Koleos provides safety of the highest level with its five-star safety rating.
Powering the SUV is a 2,5-litre petrol engine that Renault claims to use an average of 8,8 litres of fuel every 100km.
The Renault Koleos is sold with a five-year/150 000km mechanical warranty as well as a five-year/90 000km service plan.
