SunWheels took a new bakkie for a spin to check if it has something else to offer Mzansi apart from its unusual name.

This is what we learned from driving JMC’s New Boarding Euro!

The interior is a far cry from your normal one-tonner. The dash looked quite cool and it’s even got a touchscreen infortainment display and boasts electric windows, which seem like not-so-important features.

But they definitely make a huge difference when driving around.

It also has air-conditioning, an adjustable steering wheel, central locking security, centre console and an anti-glare rear view mirror.

When it comes to power, the New Boarding can really go anywhere and get any job done.

It’s got multi-function capabilities ready for hard work.

Its TDCi engine technology is powerful, reliable and efficient with 84kW in the Euro II and 88kW in the Euro IV versions.

These engines will never leave you wanting in terms of power and performance.

With prices ranging from R174 880 to R184 880, and with up to R15 000 of extras, depending on the model you choose, this bakkie is likely to find a spot in the hearts of many – especially in the farming or business communities.

Now, we’ll wait to see how well it is received in Mzansi.
