Featuring a highly revised 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 producing a whopping 390-kW and 750-Nm of torque.
BMW says the 8 Series Coupe presents the redefining of a sports car.
So they make it a point to let anyone who cares to listen that it was developed parallel to the M8 and M8 GTE endurance race car.
The 8 Series Coupe features a rear axle differential lock, adaptive M suspension, Active roll stabilization and active steering and another long list of features to make sure that the 8 Series handles like a sports car.
The V8 in the 850i xDrive M Performance (only version coming to Mzansi in the first quarter of 2019) puts power through the latest 8-Speed automatic, it goes to all four wheels via a rear-biased xDrive system.
The near 5-metre long coupe will rocket to 100-km/h in 3.7 seconds from standstill, topping out an electronically limited 250-km/h.
The 8 Series features the latest interior design for BMW.
It also features the new Live Cockpit Professional system with iDrive 7.0 which we will be seeing in the new X5.
