MITSUBISHI’s partnership with Japanese automaker Nissan seems to be bearing fruits.

The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander has been revealed and it looks bold and beautiful.

This beautiful creature will be inspired by the Nissan X-Trail, with the brand’s styling next generation Dynamic Shield front face and design language.

It now has muscular fenders, bold front design and large 20-inch wheels.

Inside, the Outlander showcases quality and convenience through class-above materials, seating for seven in the segment’s only standard-equipment third-row and a 12,3-inch digital instrument cluster and 9-inch centre screen.

For young people, there’s a wireless smartphone charging capability with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay.

The styling SUV was launched on a livestream and is expected to go on sale in April in North America and the global markets will follow.

Depending on the trim level, the 2022 Outlander can be fitted with Mitsubishi’s MI-PILOT Assist driver system with adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist.

Mitsubishi is also offering a full-colour head-up display for the first time and other high end options include a Bose 10-speaker premium sound system and three-zone automatic climate control.

General manager of Mitsubishi Motors South Africa, Nic Campbell, said the all-new 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander delivers the equipment, quality and lasting value that Mitsubishi customers have come to expect of the brand.

“Full pricing and packaging details will be made available once we have details of it’s arrival in SA,” said Campbell.
