HERE’S some exciting news from Mitsubishi! It will introduce the Xpander Cross in Mzansi next year to take on the Toyota Rush!

It is a family-friendly crossover MPV built with solid SUV styling, comfortable and pleasant drivability, as well as a practical and versatile interior design.

The Xpander Cross looks quite robust and its lower bumper “skid plate” design further emphasizes an SUV image.

Furthermore it looks premium too, thanks to features such as adaptive lights (which provide better visibility) large LED front fog lamps integrated into the bumper and stylish 17-inch alloy wheels.

The characteristic SUV-style black wide wheel arches and door garnishes emphasize the strong SUV style further. It also comes with silver coloured roof rails for extra loading capacity.

At the rear, a piano black tailgate garnish underneath the rear window and a larger skid plate on the lower part of the bumper enhances a tough image.

Powering the Xpander Cross is Mitsubishi’s latest 1,5-liter petrol engine with auto and manual transmission options.

The Xpander Cross’s biggest drawcard is definitely the capability to carry seven people. According to Mitsubishi three passengers can sit comfortably on the wide second row seat and the vehicle also adopts a tumbling system for folding the second row seats to make access to the back row easier.

It will land here in 2020.
