ARE you ahead of the curve? Do you never stop posting your hip and happening life to your Instagram followers? Do you allow all your phone apps update automatically?
If so, the new Nissan Micra Acenta Plus Tech may be the car for you.
The stylish hatchback, packed with many cool features, has joined the new Micra line-up.
Intelligent mobility technology
Plus Tech includes Nissan Intelligent Mobility technology, which, according to the Japanese carmaker, is normally reserved for premium vehicles.
One example of this premium technology is the all-round, 360-degree, four-camera view displayed on the large dashboard monitor to aid driving and parking.
The four cameras show a bird’s-eye view of your car’s exterior so that you can see everything around it when you are driving or trying to park. You can switch between views to see what is behind you, in your blind spot or on the kerb.
Other features
There is also a moving object detection system which keeps an eye out for objects getting too close to your car – such as drifting shopping trolleys in the mall parking lot – and warns the driver if they do.
The blind spot warning system alerts the driver if any other vehicles are in the driver’s blind spot. This is the area diagonally behind the car.
Intelligent forward emergency braking tracks the vehicle directly in front of you and if you get too close, sounds a loud beep as an alarm.
The infotainment system in the new Acenta Plus Tech is compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto remote-connection apps.
Other standard features in this version of the Nissan Micra include alloy wheels, cruise control and six airbags.
Like all versions of the current model Micra, it comes with a small-capacity turbopetrol engine under the bonnet as well as a standard six-year/150 000km warranty and a three-year/90 000km service plan.
