HAVING made its international debut in Delhi, India in June, the all-new Kia Seltos compact SUV will make its South African debut before the end of this month.

Characterised by a distinctive design, the Seltos is joining Kia’s SUV line-up, consisting of the Sportage and Sorento, as its junior member.

This exciting addition to the Kia line-up slots in below the Sportage and it is to battle it out with the Volkswagen T-Cross, which has been a massive sales hit locally.

The all-new Seltos is manufactured at two of Kia’s production facilities in Korea and India, each catering to different regions, with South African models originating from the company’s state-of-the-art new facility in India.

The Seltos broke multiple records in India and Kia obviously hopes to repeat this locally.

During the first 10 days on sale, Kia clocked a record 6 200 sales of the newcomer in India.

According to Kia SA it has been receiving similarly high levels of interest in Mzansi, with more than 3 000 people signing up to be the first to know about this exciting new SUV.

The Seltos will go on sale nationally in the second half of this month.

More information on specification and pricing will be released closer to the on sale date.
