IS YOUR VEHICLE ROADWORTHY?

accreditation

WITHOUT passing a roadworthy test, no registration certificates or vehicle licences will be issued to new owners.

Here are some conditions a vehicle must meet before it gets a roadworthy certificate.

Vehicle Identification: If any ID numbers differ from the paperwork, the vehicle is sent to the police for clearance.

Electrical system: All lights and electric motor-based systems must work properly.

Doors and handles: All the doors must open and close easily, from inside and outside.

Windows and winders: All the safety glass windows must open and close easily.

Safety belts: Seat belts must fasten and release with ease and not be damaged.

Seats: All seats must be firmly secured.

Fuel cap: The tank needs a working fuel cap.

Rust: Any corroded edges that can cause injury or damage fails the roadworthy test.

Wheels: Worn-out tyres are a no-no.

Brakes: Any brake problem fails the test.
