SUNWHEELS spoke to John Sejamo from Ennerdale, south of Joburg, about his lovely, black, leather-seated, luxury BMW X5.

“In 2007, my wife Patricia and I were shopping when I fell in love with BMW X3 but after a test drive, I chose the BMW X5.”

Q: When did you buy it?

A: 2017.

Q: Does it have a name?

A: Bhubesi.

Q: Do you have any fines?

A: No, not because I am lucky but because I’m careful. I enjoy speed too much.

Q: Is Bhubesi your first car?

A: No, I owned A6 and Q5 Audis as well as an Isuzu double-cab before.

Q: Who else can drive Bhubesi?

A: Only Patricia, my delightful wife.

Q: Is Bhubesi your dream car?

A: Yes.

Q: What features do you like?

A: I enjoy the powerful speakers. They are great for pumping out gospel and classic jazz.

Q: Did you change anything?

A: No, she’s perfect as she is. She needs no adjustment.

Q: Why choose this colour?

A: Bhubesi was this colour when I first saw her and fell in love with her.

Q: How far have you travelled with Bhubesi?

A: The Northern and Western Cape.

Q: Do you have a driver’s licence?

A: Yes.

Q: What do you think of other road users?

A: Some drivers are too aggressive and make a contest about how quickly they can force their way all over the road even when it is unnecessary and at the tragic cost of everyone else’s safety.
