WESTON NEEDS AN AFFIDAVIT

accreditation

THE FACTS

Weston Katsaruware of Leondale, Ekurhuleni said he worked for Nase Logistics for three years. He applied for UIF last year but hasn’t received any feedback.

WHAT I DID

I spoke to the department of labour to investigate.

SOLUTION

Thabang Mahlangu from the department said his UIF claim benefit was marked as finalised. He waited for more than four months without going to the department to sign for his payment.

To prevent fraud, the system automatically locks out the claim if it’s not signed off.

Weston must go to the police and make an affidavit to saywhy he didn’t sign for his benefits. Weston was advised accordingly.
