THE FACTS

MALESHANE Nku from Kagiso, Mogale City, was involved in an accident in 2003.

She appointed a lawyer to assist her with her Road Accident Fund claim, but wasn’t getting any help. She submitted the claim herself.

The fund made an offer of R750, but she rejected it. She appointed another lawyer, but he died before the claim could be finalised.

In 2016 a consultant from the fund came to her house with an offer of R25 000. She refused it because she didn’t trust the person.

She felt the offer wasn’t fair, considering her injuries.

She appointed a third lawyer to assist her with the claim.

He took her to doctors and they compiled the medial record that was sent to the fund. But she hasn’t heard from the lawyer.

She said she wanted to know what the fund has offered and was willing to accept the R25 000 offer.

WHAT I DID

I spoke to Boniswa Matshoba from the Road Accident Fund.

SOLUTION

Matshoba said according to information provided by Maleshane, she appointed a lawyer to manage her claim.

She advised her to contact her lawyer and ask about the claim.
