PATRICK CAN'T CLAIM

accreditation

THE FACTS

PATRICK Nkope from Germiston, Gauteng, said he was involved in an accident in 2013.

He submitted a claim to the Road Accident Fund at Germiston Hospital.

He said since lodging the claim he has never received any communication from the fund.

He decided to come to the SunDefender to ask for help.

WHAT I DID

I asked the fund to investigate.

SOLUTION

Boniswa Matshoba at the fund said they had no record of his claim and the fund did not have a hospital service centre at Germiston Hospital.

She said sometimes accident victims are approached by people who falsely claim to be officials from the fund.

Boniswa said they had referred Nkope’s investigation to their forensic investigation department for further investigation.

But unfortunately Nkope can no longer claim from the fund as the time allotted to make a claim has elapsed.
