THE FACTS

Namakhaya Nonyukela from Mapleton, Ekurhuleni, took out a contract phone with Vodacom and insurance with Cellsure.

She paid instalments without fail, but the phone just stopped working and she stopped using it.

As she didn’t use it for a long time, Vodacom said it couldn’t fix it.

The contract ended in December, but her debit order hasn’t stopped.

Vodacom told her they’re still transferring clients to the new insurance.

WHAT I DID

I spoke to Vodacom to find out why she couldn’t get another phone.

SOLUTION

Vinnie Santu from Vodacom said they’ve spoken to Namakhaya and the matter has been resolved. Namakhaya has received a replacement device through insurance claim.
