WIDOW Andy Mashigo from Witpoortjie, Joburg said she made an application to receive her late husband’s pension.
But no payment was made and she did not receive any feedback about the progress of the claim.
She said she wanted a breakdown of the funds when payment was made.
WHAT I DID
I spoke to the Government Pensions Administration Agency to find out what was causing the delay.
SOLUTION
Katlego Tselapedi, the agency’s media relation’s specialist, said the monthly arrears were paid into her account, and the payout for August was included with the money deposited in July.
Tselapedi said Andy would continue to receive payouts on the last working day of every month.
