MOLEFI WAS PAID – KHUNOU MUST CHECK

accreditation

THE FACTS

KHUNOU Letsobe from Orlando and Molefi Makhazi from Zola, Soweto both came to the SunDefender office for assistance.

In 2014, Khunou applied for his provident funds from the Transport Sector Retirement Fund administered by Sanlam.

To date he hasn’t received a response or payout.

Molefi also made a claim from the fund last year.

He said he hadn’t received anything either.

WHAT I DID

I asked Sanlam for feedback about why the claims hadn’t been paid out.

SOLUTION

Fund manager Merril Fennessy said they do not have any record of Khunou on their system and that he should visit the council office to find out if in fact he was a registered member at the council.

But she said Molefi’s claim was paid out to him on 15 March last year.
