LILLIAN OPTS TO CANCEL POLICY

THE FACTS

LILLIAN Magwaza from Alberton, Joburg, said she has a hospital plan with AIG.

She was hospitalised for four days in 2017.

In terms of her policy, she was supposed to get R2 000 but was only paid R1 000.

She wrote to AIG to complain but has not been helped.

WHAT I DID

I spoke to AIG Life to sort out the conflict.

SOLUTION

Wendy van den Heever, head of marketing and communications at AIG, said Lillian’s claim was paid out according to the terms of the policy.

I told Lillian and she has opted to cancel the policy.
