THE FACTS
Lethukuthula Mazibuko from Orlando, Soweto said he took a cellphone contract with Intercell and the agent he spoke to told him he would pay R199 a month.
He said when the contract started in April last year, the company debited R368 from his account.
Lethukuthula complained to Intercell, but nothing happened.
WHAT I DID
I spoke to Clara Khatumba from Intercell, who promised to investigate.
SOLUTION
Khatumba told the SunDefender that according to a phone conversation between Lethukuthula and the agent, the client was told that his instalment would be R365.
The instalment went up to R368,20 due to the VAT increase last year. Khatumba said the client could request a copy of the sales call and it would be sent to him.
