THE FACTS

Innocentia Baloyi from Limpopo was excited when she bought a VW Polo at BB Motors in Polokwane last year.

The car was financed by Nedbank. After collecting it, she found the tail lights were hanging loose, there was broken glass on the dashboard and the doors couldn’t close properly. She contacted the salesman, George Sithole, but he couldn’t help.

She spoke to the manager but he was apparently rude and refused to help. Frustrated, Innocentia came to the SunDefender for help.

WHAT I DID

I spoke to the dealership and asked them to investigate.

SOLUTION

Karel Ferreira from the dealership said the matter has been referred to the ombudsman. I spoke to Innocentia to advise her that as the complaint has been referred to the ombudsman, she will have to wait for the outcome.

If she isn’t satisfied with the ombudsman’s decision, she could appoint an attorney and take the matter to court.
