THE FACTS

JONAS Selwadi from Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni, has a contract with Cell C.

In 2016 he realised he was being charged for the Get More service, which he claimed he hadn’t signed up for.

He contacted Get More in December 2016 and asked for the subscription to be cancelled. He was given a reference number, but the deductions continued. He notified them again in November 2017 and was told that he would be refunded for the deductions that took place after his initial cancellation. However, nothing has been done.

WHAT I DID

I contacted Cell C.

SOLUTION

Karin Fourie from Cell C said: “Regretfully, the cancellation was not processed by Get More. Get More has apologised for the oversight and will refund the customer the amount of R826. The service has now been cancelled.”
