THE FACTS
HLEKANI Sithole from the Joburg CBD said when her Telkom router was stolen, she reported the theft and did a SIM swap.
The consultant said the SIM card would be activated within 48 hours.
She noticed the card was not working and she contacted Telkom more than five times without getting any results.
Every time she went to the store she was told they have logged a call with the IT department. She’s been paying for a router she hasn’t had since 15 January last year.
WHAT I DID
I spoke to Telkom to have them resolve the problem.
SOLUTION
Telkom customer centre said their team spoke to Hlekani and she was advised the SIM swap had been done and completed. Her service is working again.
