GO TO COURT, DAVID

accreditation

THE FACTS

DAVID Simangu from Tembisa, Ekurhuleni, said he worked for a company until a dispute in 2006 led to his dismissal.

Criminal charges were also laid against him.

David was assisted by Legal Aid South Africa but has no idea what happened to the case.

The trial took place in the Cape Town Magistrates Court and David now lives in Gauteng.

WHAT I DID

I asked Legal Aid South Africa to trace David’s case and provide feedback.

SOLUTION

Boitumelo Boshupeng, Legal Aid’s media officer, said David’s application for legal assistance was unsuccessful.

There are no other applications by David on Legal Aid’s system.

David should go back to the Cape Town Magistrates Court with his case number and ask what happened.
