THE FACTS

THEMBA Vilakazi from Kibler Park said he invested R200 000 with Nedbank in 1998.

When he contacted the Nedbank branch in Simmonds Street to withdraw the investment, one of the staff members made copies but he never received his money.

WHAT I DID

I asked Nedbank to check why he hasn’t been paid.

SOLUTION

Nedbank’s Kedibone Molopyane said the investment was paid via various transactions from August 2011 to December 2012 into accounts, on which the client was the only signatory.

Some of the funds were transferred to an American Express card held by the client.

The client reported no fraud in respect of the funds withdrawal.
