JULIA Ndimande from Tshwane said she bought a Sealy bed set from Eric Barnard Furnishers in September last year.

At the end of that year she found bed bugs on the mattress, causing her sleepless nights.

Julia went back to the store to lay a complaint.

Someone was sent to inspect the bed and Julia’s house, but the bed has not been replaced.

WHAT I DID

I spoke to the store to find out why the bed has not been replaced yet.

SOLUTION

John Otto from the store said as the bed was brand new, they spoke to various pest control companies to find out what could have caused the problem.

The response was that if there was a problem during the manufacturing process, it would have been detected from when Julia bought the bed.

The fabric on the bed is also treated against bed bugs.

So the store can’t be held liable.
